Professional Practice Philosophies

My hope as a professional is that when clients come to see me, they feel that their sessions are holistic, functional, and personal. It is important to me that clients feel they have an SLP that they can confide in and that they feel confident will keep their personal goals and interests at the forefront of their treatment plan. As we develop, our needs and preferences change. I hope to help my clients explore their interests as it relates to communication and swallowing and give them tools to help achieve the goals they have set for themselves at different stages in their lives. Communication is at the forefront of all human relationships and is something we rely on every single day. I hope to help my clients improve their communication and swallowing abilities by providing functional and personalized treatment that is tailored to the clients personality, preferences, and communication goals. My goal as a clinician is to be constantly learning as our field continues to change. I aim to provide evidence-based treatments for my clients and to always be willing to try new methods of treatment in order to help them reach their goals.
